Have You Ever Watched a Sunrise and Felt Like It Was Speaking Directly to You?

Article Summary:

This brain dump reflects a theme of personal growth through change, adaptability, and self-awareness. It explores my journey through various stages of life, marked by different environments, relationships, and experiences. The central idea is the constant pursuit of new experiences, self-improvement, and the desire to avoid stagnation. I value change, embrace challenges, and see life as a series of cycles that contribute to personal development.

I appreciate the small moments of beauty in life, such as sunrises, and how these symbolize the ever-changing nature of existence.

This post highlights the importance of independence, leadership, and staying true to one’s own path, even when others may not understand or follow the same journey.

Each sunrise is a moment of change, a new beginning that whispers to us about the possibilities of the day ahead.

Have you ever noticed how each one is different, like a unique fingerprint of the universe? I certainly have, and I can’t get enough of them — and I’m sure many are tired of me posting pics from the beach — and some forget that I was running around the country #BarefootAndBraless.

For me, the sunrise is more than just a beautiful sight; it’s a reminder that life is always in motion, always evolving, just like my own journey.

As I sit here this morning, reflecting on the many different lives I’ve lived, I’m struck by how much has changed. From the bustling streets of New York to the quiet beaches of Connecticut, the raw energy of Detroit, and the wild expanses of Oklahoma, my life has been a series of transformations. Each place, each moment, has brought something new to my world, much like how every sunrise paints a different picture in the sky.

When I first dipped my toes into the online world, it was a completely different landscape. Remember the days of MySpace and early Twitter?

That’s when I was in New York, diving headfirst into the world of website design and social media management. Before that, I was in New England, living a completely different life, offline and more connected to the quiet rhythm of the sea.

But life isn’t just about where you are; it’s about how you grow through the experiences that shape you. In Detroit, I was that woman covered in dust, working on old houses and figuring out life on my own terms. It was a time of gritty reality, of embracing the dirt and chaos as part of my journey. Then came Arizona, where I launched The Porch, a space for women to gather and share their stories. It was ahead of its time, and I take pride in knowing that I was one of the first to use video in such a raw, honest way, long before it became the norm.

My life has always moved in cycles, much like the rising and setting of the sun.

Each cycle brings with it a “big show,” a moment of transformation. Whether it was dealing with family dynamics in Oklahoma, navigating the complexities of life during COVID, or finally making the leap to Florida, where I now find myself surrounded by beauty and community, I’ve learned to embrace change rather than resist it.

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is the importance of feeling safe and secure. It’s funny how, when you reach that place, the need to compete or prove something diminishes. Instead, you can simply be.

And that’s what I want for everyone—to find that sense of peace and security, to live in the flow of life’s changes without fear.

As I reflect on all this, I find myself returning to the idea of creating something new, something that brings together the elements of nature and intention that have always been a part of my journey. I’m thinking about creating an online space, a video library of sunrises and beach life, where you can come to practice visualization, meditate, and connect with the natural world. But, of course, it will have my unique spin.

Just as I once sold plants, dirt, custom shoes, and handmade pipes, each infused with intention and care, I want to offer something real, something authentic. Instead of mass-produced items claiming to be “blessed,” I’ll provide natural products that carry the true energy of the earth—sand, shells, and other gifts from nature, all intended to help you set your intentions and connect deeply with yourself.

This isn’t just about selling products; it’s about offering a piece of the world as I see it, a world constantly changing, yet always beautiful. So, stay tuned, because something special is on the horizon—much like the next sunrise.

What do you think? Would you join me on this new journey?
